Summer is officially here in Australia! Although the weather is not what I would call ‘tropical’ yet I’m still super psyched about the coming months. What are some of your favorite things to do in Summer?
This is the first edition of my new feature ‘Pretty in the City’ where I’ll be showcasing some of my gorgeous readers’ outfits. If you’d like to be featured please send me your photos via email email@example.com. I’d love to hear from you!
Today I’m excited to feature my friend Rowena Evans, whose style I’ve always admired. This is how she describes her every day style:‘I love the French minimal look. My fashion icons include Emmanuelle Alt from French Vogue and Tash Efton from the ‘They all hate us’ blog. I like classic shapes and wear a lot of neutral colors but I also like to add a pop of color with bright accessories or a bright lipstick‘.
I just love her monochrome outfit and the leopard print shoes certainly add that je ne sais quoi to her outfit!
How do you like to dress for work? Do you usually stick to neutrals or are you more into bright colors?
Jacket – by Glassons
Silk t-shirt – by Little Joe
Jeans – by Ksubi
Shoes – by Florsheim

♥ 20 times Nigella Lawson proved she is a goddess amongst us – Team Nigella all the way!
♥ Kate Moss posed for Playboy 60th anniversary issue and, as expected, she looks freakin’ amazing. NSFW!

♥ You are good enough – print and repeat.
♥ 61 quotes that will make you feel better about yourself – People often say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing you are the beholder’. Salma Hayek
♥ The internet was alight with hate for Kanye West this week due to this article. Calm down peeps, it’s a fake! Although the fact that everyone automatically thought it was true probably says a lot about Kanye…
♥ If I had any DIY bone in me I would totally make this Christmas DIY Light up marquee. Such a cool idea!
♥ This house looks amazing – when can I move in?
With Christmas less than three weeks away I thought it was about time I compiled a new Christmas gift guide! This year I decided to divide my top picks according to their price; the first section is dedicated to gifts that cost less than $50, the second includes gifts priced between $50 and $150, and the third is made of more luxurious gifts of over $150. I also tried to include gifts that you could purchase online to hopefully save you some time at the mall.
xx Happy shopping!

Like most people, I have a Love/Hate relationship with Christmas songs. I CANNOT STAND THEM in shopping malls (whoever made some of these horrible renditions needs to be retired from the music industry immediately) but I do love listening to Christmas tunes at home. Just hearing the beginning of Otis Redding’s ‘White Christmas‘ makes my spine tingle and I just can’t help but sing along to Mariah Carey’s ‘All I want for Christmas is you‘ (even the Justin Bieber version).
The fact is that most Christmas songs are actually great, it’s their interpretation that often leaves something to be desired… With that in mind, I thought I’d make you a little Christmas mix full of songs that (hopefully) won’t make you cringe. It’s an eclectic mix with artists like Zooey Deschanel, The XX and Kanye West but they all have one thing in common – they know how to do Christmas songs right!
Did I miss any of your favorites? I’m always looking for new cool Christmas tunes so please share your picks in the comments section and I’ll add them to this mix!
