I’ve always had a weak spot for St Patrick’s day and over the years I’ve been lucky enough to celebrate it with some pretty awesome Irish people. Between the live music, dancing, Guinness, and rainbow treats…there’s no denying the Irish know how to party!
One tiny thing I struggle with every year though is choosing what to wear for the occasion. Since I don’t normally wear much green, I usually end up either putting together a bad mismatched outfit just before I go out, or buying some ugly party store accessories that make me look like some wild crazed leprechaun. Which I guess is kinda of ‘on theme’ but not exactly what I thrive for sartorially ;)
So this year I turned to some of my favorite fashion bloggers for inspiration and rounded up some outfits which I think would be perfect for St Patrick’s Day. Here are a few of my favorite looks:
A green coat
If you happen to own a green coat then there’s no better time to wear it than on St Patrick’s day! It’s also a great way to add a pop of color to a monochrome outfit.

A green sequined dress
Nothing says ‘party’ quite like a sequin dress and this one has St Paddy’s day written all over it.
A B&W striped dress with a pop of green
It’s no secret that I love black and white stripes so this gorgeous look definitely gets my vote! I also love the addition of the green bag and belt.

A green jersey paired with cobalt trousers
This is great color combination and while it’s a bold look, it’s still very classy and work appropriate.

Green Shoes
For a more subdued look, simply dress up a very neutral outfit with eye catching green shoes.

A green pleated dress paired with a denim jacket
Maxi dresses can sometimes feel a bit formal but pair them with a denim jacket and they instantly become more casual. The color of this dress couldn’t be more perfect!

A Bright Green skirt
I love how Viva Luxury styled this really bright skirt with more neutral pieces. The floral shoes also add a lovely feminine touch to the ensemble.

A rainbow jersey worn with high-waisted jeans
If green definitely isn’t your color then you could always opt for something more fun and rock a rainbow inspired outfit instead!

Green pants & yellow accessories
Just like the cobalt and green combo above this bright combination would be perfect to wear to work on St Patrick’s day.

A black & green dress
This look is definitely giving me green envy. The dress, the bag, the jacket..I want it all!
