After I posted my ‘Bloody Mary mixtape‘ last month a few of my friends asked me which was my favorite Bloody Mary recipe. Everyone has their own favorite way of making bloody marys; some like them spicy, some like them garnished with all sorts of vegetables to give the impression that they are being somewhat healthy (ps. you’re not fooling anyone peeps) and others like them so strong that one sip is guaranteed to put them in an induced coma.
I personally like to stick to a simple classic mix. Mainly because I’m generally too hangover at the time to think about making any sort of elaborate drink. Besides, why mess with a good thing? This is already a winner.
Ingredients (makes 4)
1 litre (4 cups) Tomato juice
250 ml (1 Cup) Vodka
Juice of half a lemon (slice the second half to use as garnish)
4 celery sticks
1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
1-2 tsp Tabasco sauce
Pinch of salt and pepper
Ice
Instructions
♥ Pour the tomato juice, vodka, lemon juice, worcestershire, and tabasco sauce into a jug. Stir everything together to combine.
♥ Serve in a high ball glasses filled with ice.
♥ Garnish with lemon slices and celery stalk. Top with a touch of salt of pepper.
For as long as there is Tabasco sauce its a sure winner!
Absolutely! You could also use Sriracha sauce for an Asian twist.
Yum. I love Bloody Marys and the spicier the better! These look delicious!
I wish I could have mine super spicy but alas my tongue just can’t cope with extra spice lol. Thanks for stopping by Sammie x
