Link Love – February 2013

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you’re having an amazing week. Today is a public holiday in New Zealand and the weather is absolutely glorious, which is not really blogging conducive I’m afraid. But before I head off to the beach I thought I’d share with you some of my latest web finds.

Have a great day!

♥ I went to ‘Who Shot Rock & Roll’ last weekend, a photographic exhibition currently showing at the Auckland Art Gallery. The exhibition features amazing shots of rock/punk/hip hop icons spanning the last 50/70 years including John Lennon, Debbie Harry and Notorious BIG. The pick above was one of my favorites, it was taken when Elvis was only 21 years old and the identity of the lady in the photo was only recently discovered.

♥ Jack White’s idea of pressing his next record on old x-rays is genius.

♥ I’m sorry but I can never get enough of dog themed carnivals!

♥ Buzz Feed uncovers 6 foreign subcultures you’ve never heard of. I did see some pretty awesome fashion trends whilst I lived in Africa, the La Sape movement in Congo is brilliant.

♥ I just loved this bird ballet shot in the south of France

♥ This Disney inspired wedding is seriously adorable. Ariel was my favorite princess!

♥ How amazing was Beyonce’s performance at The Super Bowl? I think she’s definitely proven that she does not need a back up track!

♥ Kelly Osbourne has become a true style icon in recent years and her closet is proof of that. I’m even coming around to her hair color now…

♥ Let’s all be nice for nine days!

♥ I love my Instax camera and I couldn’t think of a better way to feature all my favourite photos in my house than with an instax photo wall!
